Frequently asked questions
Is there a subscription?
No subscription is required. The free Cam Plus Lite tier includes 14-day cloud event clips. Paid Cam Plus tiers add longer history and additional AI features but are optional.
Can it work outside?
Yes, the v4 has an IP65 weather rating. The included mount works on both indoor walls and outdoor eaves. Just protect the power cord from rain.
Does it need to be wired?
Yes, it is AC-powered, not battery. For a fully battery option, WYZE's Battery Cam Pro is the alternative.
How is the AI detection?
The AI distinguishes people, pets, and package deliveries with reasonable accuracy. False positives drop dramatically vs the v3's motion-only detection.
