What we collect, what we don't, and what you can do about it.
Last updated October 20, 2026
The short version
- ✓No accounts, no checkout, no contact form. The site is read-only. We don't ask you for anything.
- ✓We use Google Analytics to count visits. You can opt out with any ad blocker.
- ✓The "Buy on Amazon" buttons are affiliate links. Amazon pays us a small commission if you buy. You pay the same price either way.
- ✓Saved items and recently-viewed live only in your browser — we never see them.
What we collect
Information you give us
Almost none. There's no sign-up, no checkout, and no contact form on this site. The only information you actively send us is whatever shows up in your browser request — page URL, referrer, browser type, IP address — when you load a page.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Standard web request logs are kept temporarily for security and debugging. They're rotated and discarded.
- Browser storage. When you save items or view items, those choices are stored only in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device and we have no way to read them.
- Guide and product visits. We count guide and collection visits, product selections, product pages and product quick views using a daily, one-way identifier derived from your site session, along with the referring campaign. These records are kept for up to 90 days. Kitchen checklist subscribers also receive two follow-up tips and can unsubscribe at any time.
- Outbound link clicks. When you click a "Buy on Amazon" button, we record an aggregate click count on our server so we know which items are popular. We don't tie those clicks to you personally.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are popular, which traffic sources work). Google sets cookies in your browser as part of this.
If you'd rather not be tracked, you can install the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or use any standard ad blocker — both will reliably stop GA from collecting data on you.
We do not currently run the Meta Pixel, X (Twitter) ads pixel, or any retargeting trackers. If that changes, we'll update this policy.
Affiliate disclosure
FindVault HQ is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon and affiliated sites. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
The "Buy on Amazon" links throughout the site include our affiliate tag — Amazon credits us a small commission if you buy something within their cookie window. This costs you nothing extra, and it doesn't affect the prices you see on Amazon.
Editorial picks (ratings, verdicts, pros/cons) are written by our team and reflect our own opinions. We don't accept payment from brands to feature their products.
We promote our items on Pinterest at pinterest.com/FindVaultHQ. If you click through from Pinterest, Pinterest's own privacy policy applies to that interaction. We don't receive any personal data from Pinterest beyond what any site normally sees in a referral.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, please reach out via our Pinterest profile and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., California, EU/EEA, UK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to opt out of certain types of processing. Because we don't run user accounts, the only personal data we'd plausibly hold is server log lines tied to your IP address — and those are rotated. To make any request, reach out via our Pinterest profile.
Third parties
When you click links or load pages on this site, requests are made to third-party services on our behalf:
- AmazonAffiliate links
- Google AnalyticsTraffic measurement
- fonts.bunny.netFont delivery
- PinterestSave to Pinterest button
Each of these has its own privacy policy. We don't sell or share your information with them beyond what's needed to load their content.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
