This is a hard-sided cat carrier backpack with a clear bubble dome in front, so the cat gets a full forward view instead of staring at mesh. It fits pets up to 12 pounds and expands out the back to add lounging room once you stop walking. Nine vent holes plus a side access window and a rear mesh extension keep airflow moving, which matters in a rigid carrier. It can be worn on the back or flipped to the chest, so you can see the cat during a vet visit. The galaxy blue print is fade-resistant, which is the main visual difference from the sea of plain gray versions. Best fit: vet trips with a cat who panics in a soft duffel, and short outdoor walks with a cat already leash-trained.
Pros
- Clear front dome gives the cat a real view, which settles anxious cats better than mesh
- Expands out the back so the cat can lie down once you stop moving
- Nine vents plus a rear mesh panel keep air moving in a rigid shell
- Wears on the chest as well as the back, so you can watch the cat at the vet
Cons
- Twelve pounds is a real ceiling, so a large adult cat will not have room to turn around comfortably
Frequently asked questions
What size cat fits?
Up to about 12 pounds. Cats over that will fit but will not be able to turn around, which usually means a stressed cat rather than a calm one.
Does the bubble window fog up?
There is condensation risk on a warm cat in cold air. The nine side vents and rear mesh panel are there to keep air moving, and opening the rear extension clears it.
Is it airline approved?
No. It is a rigid-shell carrier and does not meet under-seat soft-sided requirements for most airlines. Use it for car, vet, and walking trips.
Do you have to remove a film from the bubble?
Yes. There are protective films on both the inside and outside of the dome from shipping. They are pre-cut at one edge so they peel off easily.
