The Sonos Era 100 is a wireless smart speaker built around a custom-tuned twin-tweeter + woofer array that delivers true stereo separation from a single bookshelf-sized cabinet — meaningful for anyone who's outgrown a mono Bluetooth speaker but doesn't want to commit floor space to a full stereo pair. Connectivity covers the modern set: WiFi for AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Apple Music, and Tidal direct streaming; Bluetooth 5.0 for non-Sonos devices and guests; and a rear USB-C line-in (with optional 3.5mm or RCA adapter sold separately) for turntables and other analog sources. Trueplay room tuning calibrates the speaker's output to the actual acoustic properties of your space using your iPhone's microphone array — the cleanest single-step EQ in any consumer speaker on the market. Voice control via built-in Alexa or Sonos Voice; the Era 100 SL variant exists for users who want the same speaker without microphones. Best fit: anyone building or expanding a Sonos multi-room setup, vinyl listeners pairing with a turntable, and work-from-home setups in living rooms or larger offices that have outgrown a portable Bluetooth speaker.

Frequently asked questions
Will it work without WiFi?
Bluetooth works for direct phone-to-speaker streaming without WiFi. But WiFi-dependent features — AirPlay 2, multi-room sync, voice assistants, Trueplay room tuning, and direct Spotify/Tidal/Apple Music streaming — all need a WiFi connection.
Can I pair two Era 100s as a stereo pair?
Yes — two Era 100s can be configured as a left/right stereo pair through the Sonos app. Each speaker handles its own channel for wider, more dimensional sound. Both must be on the same WiFi network.
Does it work with vinyl turntables?
Yes — via the rear USB-C line-in. You'll need either a turntable with USB-C output (uncommon) or Sonos's USB-C-to-3.5mm or USB-C-to-RCA line-in adapter (sold separately). The speaker accepts line-level signals; if your turntable has no built-in preamp, you'll need an external one.
How is this different from the older Sonos One?
The Era 100 replaces the One. Key upgrades: true stereo from one cabinet (the One is mono), Bluetooth 5.0 (the One was WiFi-only), USB-C line-in (the One had no line-in), and a faster processor for Trueplay and voice assistants.
Does it support Apple HomeKit / Siri?
Era 100 supports AirPlay 2, so you can stream from Apple devices and add it to HomeKit as an AirPlay speaker. It does NOT support Siri voice control directly — only Alexa and Sonos Voice are built in.
