This is a four-microphone wireless handheld system with a single receiver, sold as a complete set in a carry case. All four mics pair to the same receiver, so a group can sing together instead of passing one microphone down the line, and the mics are rechargeable rather than running on disposable AA batteries. The receiver connects to a speaker, mixer, amp or karaoke machine over standard audio outputs, and each mic has its own on-off and volume so one loud singer does not have to be managed at the board. Best fit: home karaoke nights, small church and school events, backyard parties and anywhere four people need to be heard on gear that was not built for it.
Pros
- All four mics run off one receiver, so a group sings together instead of passing one mic
- Rechargeable rather than eating disposable AA batteries every party
- Each mic has its own volume control, so a loud singer can be turned down at the mic
- Carry case keeps four mics, the receiver and the cables in one place between parties
Cons
- These are consumer-grade karaoke mics, so the sound is thinner than a single wired dynamic mic at the same total price
Frequently asked questions
Can all four mics be used at the same time?
Yes, all four pair to the single receiver and can be live simultaneously. That is the main reason to buy this set over a single-mic kit.
What do I plug the receiver into?
Any speaker, powered PA, mixer, amp or karaoke machine with a standard audio input. It does not produce sound on its own.
How long do the mics run on a charge?
Several hours of continuous use per charge, which covers a typical party. Charge all four beforehand, because a mic that dies mid-song cannot be swapped to fresh batteries.
Will they interfere with each other?
Each mic is on its own channel to the shared receiver, so they do not fight. Other wireless gear in the same room on nearby frequencies can cause dropouts, which is normal for wireless mics at this price.
