Will this work for a 75 inch TV?
This SKU is sized for 55 to 65 inch TVs. Govee makes a separate 16.4 ft variant for 75 to 85 inch TVs (different ASIN). Picking the wrong size leaves you with too much or too little strip.
Does it require a Govee subscription?
No. The Govee Home app is free and all features (color matching, scene modes, music sync, voice control) are included.
How does it handle dark scenes in movies?
The cameras still pick up the dim edge colors and project them softly. For pitch-black scenes the lights drop to near-off, though some users prefer to set a fixed dim color in the app for consistency.
Is it bright enough for daytime viewing?
It's an ambient backlight, not room lighting. The effect is most visible in dim or dark rooms. Bright rooms will wash out most of the color matching.
