A 36W electric gravel cleaner that pumps water out of the tank rather than relying on a manual siphon and a bucket placed below the tank. That removes the two annoyances of water changes: getting the siphon started, and needing gravity on your side. The 8-in-1 head set covers gravel vacuuming, water changing, filtering, sand washing, and surface skimming, so one tool handles the whole maintenance routine. Flow is adjustable, which matters in a planted or small tank where full suction will pull up substrate and uproot plants. It works in tanks from small desktop sizes up through mid-size setups. Best fit: aquarium keepers who have been dreading water change day and put it off longer than they should.
Pros

- Adjustable flow keeps it from pulling up substrate in planted or small tanks
- Eight attachments cover gravel vacuuming, water changes, filtering, and skimming
- Handles small desktop tanks through mid-size setups with the same unit
Cons
- Only six reviews so far, so long-term durability on the pump is not yet proven
Frequently asked questions
Will it pull up my substrate or uproot plants?
Not at lower flow settings. Turn the flow down for fine sand or a planted tank and hover the head rather than burying it in the substrate.
What tank sizes does it work in?
It works from small desktop tanks up through mid-size setups. Very large tanks will take a while at this wattage, and very shallow water can cause the pump to draw air.
Does it need to be primed like a siphon?
No. That is the main reason to buy an electric unit. Submerge the head and switch it on.
Can it wash sand as well as gravel?
Yes, one of the included heads is designed for sand. Use the lowest flow setting so the sand tumbles and rinses instead of getting sucked out.
