Wipe the inside of your windshield without climbing over the dash
Is this the right fit?
- Best for
- anyone whose night driving has gotten worse from interior glass haze, and cars with a steeply raked windshield
- Skip if
- The magnet has to pull through the full thickness of the glass, so on thick or acoustic laminated windshields the grip is weaker and the inner pad can drop off mid-pass

This is a two-piece magnetic windshield cleaner. One pad goes on the outside of the glass, the second on the inside, and magnets hold them together through the windshield so moving the outer pad by hand drags the inner pad along with it. That solves the specific problem of the inside base of a windshield, the strip that sits several feet past where your arm can comfortably reach over the dash, where haze from off-gassing plastics and smoke builds up and scatters headlight glare at night. Microfiber pads do the wiping; the design is meant for streak-free passes with glass cleaner or a damp pad. Best fit: anyone whose night driving has gotten worse from interior glass haze, and cars with a steeply raked windshield.
Pros
- Reaches the bottom inside corners of the windshield without leaning across the dash
- Magnetic coupling means you steer the inside pad from outside the car, where you have leverage
- Directly targets the interior haze that scatters oncoming headlights at night
- Under twenty dollars, and the microfiber pads are washable rather than disposable
Cons
- The magnet has to pull through the full thickness of the glass, so on thick or acoustic laminated windshields the grip is weaker and the inner pad can drop off mid-pass
Frequently asked questions
Will the magnets scratch my glass or tint?
The magnets sit inside the pad housings and never touch the glass; only the microfiber faces make contact. The real risk is grit trapped in a dirty pad, so rinse the pads before each use.
What if the inside pad falls off?
It happens most often on thick acoustic or laminated windshields, where the glass is far enough apart to weaken the magnetic hold. Work in shorter strokes and keep the pads flat against the glass rather than tilted on an edge.
Do I use glass cleaner with it?
Yes, most people lightly dampen the pads or spray the glass first. Avoid soaking the inside pad, since excess liquid runs down onto the dash and defroster vents.
Does it work on side and rear windows?
It works on any flat or gently curved glass where you can reach both sides. Deeply curved rear glass is harder because the two pads stop sitting parallel and lose their hold.
