Gorilla Grip's Rug Gripper Pads are reusable double-sided adhesive corners that stick to the underside of any rug and the floor underneath. Stop the corner-curling problem on area rugs, hallway runners, doormats, and bathroom rugs without permanent damage to hardwood, tile, or vinyl. Each pack contains 8 pads, enough for two rugs (4 corners each). They wash and re-stick up to 10 times before needing replacement. Best fit: anyone with rugs that keep flipping at the corners, doormats that slide on entryways, runners that slip on hardwood, or a toddler/pet household where rug edges are an obvious trip hazard.
Pros
- Reusable, washes and re-sticks up to 10 times before replacement
- Safe on hardwood, tile, vinyl, and laminate without leaving residue
- Works on the rug-flip-at-corners problem instantly, not just slipping
Cons
- Carpet-on-carpet (rug over wall-to-wall) requires the dedicated rug-on-carpet version, not these adhesive pads
Frequently asked questions
Will they damage hardwood or vinyl floors?
No, the adhesive is designed to lift cleanly without leaving residue or stripping finish. Reviewers with refinished hardwood report no marks after 6+ months of use.
Do they work on carpet?
These are for rug-on-hard-floor. For rug-on-wall-to-wall carpet, Gorilla Grip makes a separate non-adhesive version with a different texture.
How often do they need to be replaced?
Each pad lasts 8 to 10 reuses. Lift, rinse with water, air dry, and re-stick. After 8 to 10 cycles the adhesive weakens and you'll need a new pad.
Are they enough for a large area rug?
Yes, the 8-pack covers two rugs at 4 corners each. For very large rugs, add the rug-grip tape down the center seam to stop the rug from bunching.
