Frequently asked questions
How many cards does it actually hold?
The elastic core flexes from 1 to 12 cards comfortably. With 12 cards in it the wallet stays slimmer than a 4-card leather bifold, but past 12 the elastic gets tight and pushing cards out becomes harder.
Does it block RFID?
Yes, the milled 6061-T6 aluminum body itself is the RFID-blocker. No need for an additional sleeve. Tap-to-pay still works on cards that have stuck out of the wallet, but contactless readers can't read cards while they're inside.
Will MagSafe work with it for iPhone?
The standard Ridge Wallet shown here is not MagSafe-compatible, Ridge sells a separate MagSafe-Ready Wallet model (different SKU) that's designed to attach to iPhone 12 and newer. If MagSafe attachment matters, look at that variant instead.
How does the money clip work, does it scratch the aluminum?
There's a metal clip plate on the back held to the body by screws, it slides folded bills under and grips them with spring tension. The clip is flush with the wallet so it doesn't catch on pockets, and Ridge ships a tiny screwdriver in case you ever want to swap it for the cash-strap accessory instead.
