The Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro is a non-Wi-Fi video baby monitor with a dedicated 5-inch HD parent screen, pan-tilt-zoom, and an interchangeable lens system. It runs on a hack-proof FHSS connection rather than your home network, with patented Active Noise Reduction that filters out white noise machines so you actually hear when baby stirs. Built for parents who want monitor reliability and privacy over app convenience.
Pros
- 720p HD video on a 5-inch parent screen with pan-tilt-zoom
- Patented Active Noise Reduction filters white-noise machines and AC hum so you only hear baby
- No Wi-Fi means no app, no firmware updates, and nothing hackable from outside the house
- Interchangeable lens system — wide-angle and zoom add-ons sold separately
- 12-hour battery life on the parent unit, beep-free vibrate alerts
Cons
- No phone app, so you can't check the camera from work or the grocery store
