Do I need a subscription to use it?
No, the core features (live HD video, 360° rotation, treat tossing, 2-way audio, barking alerts) all work without a subscription. Furbo's optional Dog Nanny subscription adds AI alerts (smart activity detection, doggie diary, cloud video history), but you can use the camera fully without it.
What size treats does it accept?
Round, dry treats roughly the size of standard kibble (around 0.4 inches diameter) work best. Most regular dog kibble works. Soft treats, oily treats, or anything with strong glaze tend to clog the dispenser, stick to dry crunchy treats.
Will it work for multiple dogs in the same household?
Yes, but the treat-toss isn't aimed, whichever dog gets there first eats the treat. The barking alerts trigger on any dog's bark in the room. Good for multi-dog homes if you mainly want monitoring; less useful if you're trying to interact with one specific dog.
What WiFi does it need?
2.4GHz WiFi only (it does not support 5GHz networks). If your router broadcasts both bands, make sure to connect Furbo to the 2.4GHz SSID during setup.
How well does the night vision work?
Color night vision works well in dim light (e.g., a hallway light left on), giving a clear color picture. In total darkness it falls back to standard infrared (black-and-white). Either mode is clear enough to see what your dog is doing.
