Do I ever need to replace the battery?
No. Eco-Drive uses a light-converting cell behind the dial that charges from any indoor or outdoor light. The capacitor inside the movement can last decades; Citizen does not consider it a user-replaceable battery.
Can I shower or swim with it?
It is rated 50m, which Citizen describes as splash-resistant. Quick rinses are fine. Showering and swimming are not recommended at this rating; chlorine and soap also degrade the leather strap.
What size wrist does it fit?
The 40mm case wears true for wrists in the 6.5 to 8 inch range. The leather strap has standard adjustment holes; longer wrists at the 8 inch end may need to use the last hole.
Is the leather strap replaceable?
Yes. The strap uses a standard 20mm spring bar fitment, so any 20mm watch strap fits. Many owners swap to a brown leather or NATO band for a different look.
