The Callaway Supersoft 2025 is the newest generation of Callaway's bestselling soft-feel ball, engineered around an ultra-low compression core that helps slower swing speeds (under 95 mph driver) get more distance without sacrificing the soft buttery feel around the greens. The 2025 model adds a refined Hex Aerodynamics pattern that reduces drag on full shots and a Hybrid Cover for higher spin on wedges and improved durability on cart-path bounces. Comes in white plus high-visibility yellow, red
Pros
- Ultra-low compression core helps slower swing speeds (under 95 mph driver) get measurable distance gains, especially off a tee
- Soft feel around the greens means chips and putts respond with the muted feedback most golfers prefer
- Refined Hex Aerodynamics pattern reduces drag on full shots, particularly into wind
- High-visibility yellow, red, pink, and matte options for foggy mornings or quick eye location
Cons
- Lower spin profile means tour-level players hitting wedges with high swing speeds will not get the bite a Pro V1 or Chrome Tour delivers
Frequently asked questions
How does the 2025 differ from the 2023 Supersoft?
Refined Hex Aerodynamics dimple pattern for reduced drag, and a Hybrid Cover that adds wedge spin and cart-path durability compared to the 2023's softer cover.
Is this ball worth it for a low-handicap player?
Supersoft is optimized for swing speeds under 95 mph. Low-handicap players with faster swings get more distance from a higher-compression ball like the Chrome Tour.
What is the actual compression rating?
Callaway lists Supersoft at 38 compression, one of the lowest in the consumer market. For reference, Pro V1 is around 88.
Are the colored versions the same performance as white?
Yes, the colored versions use the same core and cover construction. Visibility is the only functional difference.
