A 24-door advent calendar where every door hides a different mini dumpling squishy in a festive outfit: Santa hats, scarves, reindeer, snowmen. One per day from December 1st to the 24th. The squishies are the slow-rising sensory kind, so they work as fidget and stress-relief objects well past the countdown, which is more than most advent calendars manage once the chocolate is gone. Because they are collectible characters rather than generic filler, kids tend to keep them together as a set. Ordering now matters for a holiday item like this, since squishy advent calendars sell through well before December. Best fit: kids, teens, classroom countdowns, and squishy collectors.
Pros
- 24 distinct dumpling characters in festive outfits, not 24 of the same filler item
- Slow-rising squishies keep working as desk fidgets long after the countdown ends
- Collectible as a set, which is what makes kids keep them rather than lose them
- Works for classroom countdowns and stocking stuffers, not just one child
Cons
- It is a seasonal item with a hard expiry, so buying it in spring means it sits in a closet for months
Frequently asked questions
How many squishies are inside?
24, one behind each numbered door, intended to be opened daily from December 1st through the 24th.
Are all the squishies different?
Yes. Each door reveals a different dumpling character in a festive style, including Santa dumplings, reindeer, and snowman designs.
What age is this suitable for?
It is marketed for kids, teens, and adult squishy collectors. As with any small toy, very young children should be supervised.
Are the squishies slow rising?
Yes. They are soft, squeezable sensory toys designed for stress relief and keeping hands busy, so they keep their use as fidgets after the countdown is finished.
Can it be used as a countdown for something other than Christmas?
The doors are numbered 1 through 24 with holiday-themed contents, so it is built for December. Nothing stops you using it as a generic 24-day countdown, but the characters are Christmas styled.
