The KKI Window Cleaning Robot suctions onto glass and drives itself across the pane in a pattern, spraying cleaning solution from two nozzles and wiping with replaceable pads as it goes. It is built for windows that are hard or unsafe to reach by hand, which is the actual use case: high-rise exterior panes, stairwell windows, and tall picture windows. A safety tether and backup power keep it attached if mains power cuts out mid-pass. It runs roughly four minutes per square meter, so it is slower than a person with a squeegee but does not require a ladder. Best fit: apartments above ground level, homes with tall fixed windows, and anyone who currently pays for window cleaning.
Pros
- Dual spray nozzles wet the glass as it goes instead of dragging a dry pad
- Safety tether and backup power keep it on the glass if mains power drops
- Reaches high exterior panes that otherwise need a ladder or a hired cleaner
- Runs its own path pattern rather than needing you to steer it the whole time
Cons
- At roughly four minutes per square meter it is slower than doing it by hand, so it only pays off on windows you cannot safely reach
Frequently asked questions
What happens if the power goes out while it is on the window?
It has a backup power supply that keeps suction going, plus a safety tether you anchor indoors. Always attach the tether before starting a pass on an upper floor.
Does it work on framed windows with dividers?
It needs a continuous flat pane large enough to travel across. Small divided panes and heavily gridded windows are not a good fit.
Does it clean the corners?
It gets close to edges but, like most window robots, leaves a thin border at the very corners that you finish by hand.
What cleaning solution does it use?
You fill it with a standard window cleaning liquid. Avoid thick or foaming cleaners, which can clog the spray nozzles.
