The 12 Days of CRAFTSMAN Advent Calendar (model CMMT12426A) is a limited-edition gift box holding twelve hand tools behind twelve doors. The category exists because tool advent calendars solve a specific gifting problem: the person who already owns the big things and is impossible to shop for still has gaps in small hand tools, and twelve of them arriving one per day turns a routine restock into an event. Limited-edition tool calendars are produced in a single seasonal run and typically sell out before December, so availability is the real constraint rather than price. Best fit: a partner, parent, or teenager with a growing toolbox, anyone setting up a first apartment tool kit, and gift exchanges with a set budget.
Pros
- Twelve separate hand tools in one purchase, which solves a hard-to-shop-for person in one move
- Craftsman hand tools carry the brand's standard hand tool warranty, so these are not novelty throwaways
- Limited-edition seasonal gift box, which is part of why it reads as a gift rather than a restock
- Spread over twelve days, so it lasts rather than being opened and set aside in a minute
Cons
- It is a brand new seasonal listing with very few reviews so far, and limited-run calendars typically sell out well before December rather than getting restocked
Frequently asked questions
What is actually inside?
Twelve Craftsman hand tools behind twelve doors. The specific assortment is listed on the product page for model CMMT12426A; the contents change between yearly editions, so check the current listing rather than an older year's unboxing.
Are these full-size tools or miniatures?
Tool advent calendars in this class contain usable hand tools rather than novelty miniatures, sized to fit the calendar format. Larger tools like full wrench sets do not fit the door format.
Will it restock if it sells out?
Limited-edition seasonal calendars are produced in a single run and generally do not restock once sold through. That is why they tend to disappear in November.
Do the tools carry a warranty?
Craftsman hand tools carry the brand's standard hand tool warranty. Check the current warranty terms on the brand's site, since coverage differs between hand tools and power tools.
